This 30 minute movie features interviews with people from both sides of the struggle surrounding this issue, featuring appearances by Dennis Peron (Prop. 215), George H.W. Bush, Michael Moore, Ed Rosenthal, John Walters (National Drug Control Policy) and others.

It is a hard hitting look at Medical Marijuana in the modern day, particularly relating to the California front line battle to distribute and buy a medicine that under state law is legal, yet under federal law is still a Schedule 1 narcotic.

This powerful documentary was the winner of the People's Choice Award at the Compassionate Use Film Festival in February 2004.

Preaching to the choir: First let me be clear; while I do not use medical cannabis, I am in favor if its use. It is unfortunate that most Americans only perceive people who have a certain 'look' as legitimate and credible information sources. Therefore I must comment that the film, while making a very strong argument in favor of medicinal use and de-criminalization, it will do close to nothing to help change minds that are programmed to hearing 'credible' information from clean-cut doctors in lab coats and other authority figures in suits. The proliferation of bearded, tie-dyed proponents wearing baubles and bangles normally associated with radical ideas sadly undermines the film. Even the whimsical and entertaining clips, and the stylized titles betray the seriousness of the issues, especially to those in pain and in need. The only people who may be persuaded by this film are those who are bright enough to see through stereotypes and focus on the issues. This is a fault of both the film maker by not taking into account the nature of the bias of the audience, and the ignorance of the closed-minded viewer. It is sad that a legitimate message must be vandalized with a facade of stereotypic pretense in order to be taken seriously. This film, though strong in legitimate content, will hardly change any minds used to being spoon-fed by genetically engineered corporate news anchors.
I think this film will resonate very well with activists and those who have been following this issue for the past few years. For those who are more "out of touch", and are not already familiar with the events in California and the arrests of Ed Rosenthal and Bryan Epis, it may be less accessible. I would estimate that nationwide, the vast majority of Americans are simply uninformed of this issue and require a more rudimentary introduction. Having said that, the strength of this film is that it puts a face (many faces) on this issue, and that is always good. Well done. Thank you to all involved in creating it.
I rate this film a 4! Very informative and compelling in it's nature. Should open more Americans eyes to what is happening and to hopefully change the laws about medical marijuana usage.
Free the weed! It should be available for recreational and medical use! I support you all the way.
While medpot is subject to this anomoly of public policy the cutting edge is in wholesale reform of the drug laws per se. A great deal of Medpot argument fails to do justice to the issue. Every new understanding and insight helps progress the debate, this work makes a great contribution.
Very Good. I'll rate it a 3. Editing seemed too quick and flashflashflash (perhaps a sign of the times) Pleased to see that all hope is not lost. Great job on a very delicate subject.
4 Great Film.
